Kalmarhem faced major financial challenges and needed to think in new ways. Or perhaps more accurately, think in old ways. CEO Per Stephani talks about how, by shifting their focus toward planned maintenance, they have found a way into the future.

When it comes to maintenance, Flens Kommunfastigheter (FKAB) has gone from reactive firefighting to a more proactive property management strategy. Calle Öman, operations manager at FKAB, explains how Planima has helped the organization through the change.

Svenska Bostäder, one of Sweden’s largest property owners, has made a complete turnaround in how they handle the maintenance of their facilities. We met Ulf Viktorsson, head of technical services and maintenance at the company, and asked about the challenges they have faced and how the solutions have shaped the organization.

Sustend specializes in facility maintenance, with more than 30 employees in Stockholm, Gothenburg, and Malmö, and produces around 250 maintenance plans a year for its clients. Andreas Engberg, regional manager in Gothenburg, explains how Planima has strengthened Sustend’s client offering and saves the consultants an average of four hours per maintenance plan produced.

Marks Bostad AB, the municipally owned housing company with around 3,700 rental apartments in Mark Municipality, has gone from static Excel planning to fully dynamic, data-driven maintenance planning. Pär Brundin, operations & maintenance manager, explains how Planima and Planima-priser™ have changed both the way they work and the accuracy of their budgeting.

Bollebygd Municipality manages about 25 facilities, including schools, fire stations, and community halls. The technical and service department, made up of around ten employees, is responsible for maintenance. With the help of Planima, they have been able to shift focus from “putting out fires” to working with structured and proactive facility maintenance.

Catena is aiming for truly smart management of its logistics facilities in Sweden and Denmark. Through increased coordination and Planima’s tools, the organization wants to achieve long-term sustainability that benefits both the wallet and the environment.

If you manage a large portfolio, you know what it can look like. Data about the facilities is scattered across Excel files, binders, and colleagues’ heads. Gathering it all, structuring it, and actually starting to plan maintenance feels like a mountain that could take years to climb. Karlstads Bostads AB climbed that mountain in a month.
